Pathanamthitta, July 14: Kerala Fibre Optic Network has reached another significant milestone in its mission to bridge the digital divide, with the number of active connections in Pathanamthitta crossing the 5,000 mark. The achievement underscores the project's steady progress in expanding high-speed, reliable internet connectivity across the district.
The district now records 5,109 active KFON connections, comprising 3,247 household connections, 5 enterprise connections, 419 government institution connections, and 389 complimentary internet connections provided to Below Poverty Line families, reflecting the project's expanding reach across both public and residential sectors.
As a key enabler of the Government of Kerala's vision of a digitally empowered state, KFON continues to deliver high-quality broadband services to homes, government offices, educational institutions and business establishments. The project is also playing a vital role in promoting digital inclusion by providing free internet access to economically disadvantaged families.
KFON officials said the milestone reflects the project's sustained growth and the growing trust in its high-speed broadband services, further reinforcing KFON's role in building a digitally inclusive, future-ready Kerala.
