New Delhi, Sep 28: Independent creative agency SW Network and beauty giant Nykaa have launched Hotel Wanderlust, a six-episode micro-drama series for Nykaa Wanderlust, an experiential bath and body care brand designed to transform everyday self-care routines into sensory getaways. With Nykaa trusting SW Network to professionally spearhead their first-ever micro-drama format, Hotel Wanderlust builds the brand directly into the entertainment itself rather than interrupting it with advertising.

Unfolding at a playful fictional hotel, the series stars veteran comedian and actor Varun Thakur alongside Shachi as a receptionist with unique quirks. Each episode welcomes a new guest, including popular creators Srishti Garg, Pulkit Kochar, Mishall B, each arriving with unique, everyday dilemmas. As their stories unfold, Nykaa Wanderlust’s body mists, perfumes, shower gels and lotions find their way into the action, without stopping the story to sell them.

Just a couple of weeks since its launch, the micro-drama’s success proves that a meticulously executed, data-backed strategy yields superior results. By combining deep audience research with tailored storytelling techniques, we cracked the code on how to leverage this trending format to build stronger engagement, elevate the brand’s online image, and forge a genuine connection with viewers, all while staying perfectly aligned with core brand values. This calculated approach is driving tangible impact, organically amassing almost a million views across the six episodes. Audiences are praising the bite-sized format and the natural chemistry between Varun and Shachi, welcoming this fresh departure from traditional ads.

This series exemplifies SW Network’s approach to content-led brand building: seamlessly integrating brands into compelling, audience-first storytelling.

Himani Mangtani, Business Head, SW Network, shared her thoughts on the collaboration:

“Social media is changing how people consume stories, and brands need to evolve with it. Hotel Wanderlust allowed us to build a format that feels native to the platform while giving Nykaa Wanderlust a distinctive world to play in. It’s also a reminder that when passionate people come together around a strong idea, great things can happen.”

Vinit Patil, Creative Director, SW Network, shared:

"Microdrama has its own grammar, and we learned how to speak it. It’s about giving people a reason to stop, then a reason to stay, and finally a reason to share. That means putting the drama before an expensive production spectacle, and investing in the story, character arcs, popular faces and distribution that can make the story travel. With Hotel Wanderlust, that thinking shaped every beat."

Sharing the brand’s perspective on this creative approach, Omna Winston, Creative Head at Nykaa added:

"Gen Z doesn’t want brands to just talk to them; they want brands to create experiences they can be part of. Hotel Wanderlust was born from that thought. We wanted to take the travel-inspired world of Nykaa Wanderlust and turn it into a format that feels native to Instagram, bite-sized, entertaining and full of personality. The products are woven into that world naturally, making the brand part of the experience rather than an interruption.”

With all the episodes out now, the innovative campaign also serves as the perfect launchpad for Nykaa Wanderlust's brand-new fragrance line. The series continues to boost Nykaa Wanderlust’s digital footprint while showcasing SW Network’s expertise in content-led, platform-first storytelling.
