Pune, Aug 06: Bharti Airtel Limited has announced its audited consolidated financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, reporting strong growth across its India and Africa operations. The telecom major posted consolidated revenue of ₹58,539 crore, up 18.4% year-on-year and 5.7% quarter-on-quarter. During the quarter, Airtel added 14.9 million customers, taking its total customer base to 681 million across 15 countries. Consolidated EBITDA stood at ₹33,599 crore, with an EBITDA margin of 57.4%.
The company's India business generated revenue of ₹41,214 crore, reflecting a 9.7% year-on-year increase. Mobile revenue grew 9.2%, supported by higher Average Revenue Per User (ARPU), which increased to ₹264 from ₹250 a year earlier. Airtel also achieved its highest-ever quarterly postpaid customer additions of one million, while smartphone data customers increased by 21.1 million over the past year. The Homes business continued its strong momentum with 33.2% revenue growth, while Airtel Business recorded a healthy 12% increase in revenue.
Commenting on the results, Gopal Vittal, Executive Vice Chairman, Bharti Airtel, said the company delivered another quarter of strong performance backed by the resilience of its diversified portfolio and disciplined execution across businesses. He noted that growth momentum remained strong in both India and Africa, while the increase in Airtel Africa shareholding to over 79% reflects the company's confidence in the continent's long-term growth potential. Vittal added that the company's postpaid strategy delivered its highest-ever customer additions, the Homes business continued to expand through quality customer acquisition, and the balance sheet remains strong with focused investments to future-proof the business.
During the quarter, Airtel further strengthened its digital infrastructure by deploying 1,579 towers and 14,540 mobile broadband base stations. Over the past year, the company added 7,631 towers and rolled out 45,171 kilometres of fibre. It also introduced Postpaid Fast Lane, powered by 5G slicing technology, and launched Airtel Secure Workforce, a fully managed Zero Trust Architecture security platform designed for enterprise customers.
On the financial front, consolidated net income before exceptional items rose to ₹8,057 crore from ₹5,948 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Airtel's consolidated net debt-to-EBITDA ratio also improved to 1.17, underscoring a stronger balance sheet. The company said its continued investments in network expansion, digital services, and customer experience are expected to support sustainable long-term growth across its markets.
