Guwahati, June 16: The annual Ambubachi Mela, one of the country’s most significant spiritual festivals, will begin at the sacred Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati on June 22, drawing thousands of devotees, saints, and pilgrims from across India and beyond.
The festival is dedicated to Goddess Kamakhya and symbolises fertility, creation, and the life-giving power of nature. During the observance, the temple remains closed for special rituals before reopening on June 26 for devotees.
