19th February 2025:Kochi/Alappuzha: Manappuram Foundation, the corporate social responsibility (CSR) wing of Manappuram Finance, based on Thrissur has handed over six newly constructed homes under ‘We Are for Allappey’ project. Mr. Krishna Teja IAS, Joint Secretary to the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, handed over the keys. Mr. George D. Das, CEO, Manappuram Foundation and Silpa Treesa Sebastian, CSR Head were present at the event.
While serving as the District Collector of Alappuzha, Mr.Krishna Teja became aware of the plight of children who had lost their parents due to COVID-19 and approached Manappuram Foundation for support. As a result, houses were constructed in Ochira, Purakkad, Cheriyanad, Paravur, Kumarapuram, and Kanichukulangara. The foundation has spent a total of ₹39 lakh for this initiative.
Krishna Teja expressed happiness in collaborating with the Manappuram Foundation and acknowledged the various service initiatives undertaken by the organization for underprivileged sections of the society. He also expressed his gratitude for working with the foundation during his tenure as Thrissur District Collector to provide financial and educational support to students in need.
