Norsea Global, along with DoubleTree by Hilton – Whitefield, set fire to the Bengaluru food spectrum with yet another round of exclusive events, celebrating the matchless craft of Celebrity Chef Daniel Rouge Madsen and the rich indulgences of Norwegian salmon.

Guests experienced an unforgettable gastronomic journey immersed in Norwegian culture, innovation, and culinary expertise through a specially selected four-course gourmet meal. The evening set the atmosphere right with private welcomes, live acts, and an open bar.

To commemorate the Women’s Day Tribute, the celebration paid tribute to the successes of women chefs, upholding the values of inclusivity and excellence. Attendees also viewed ‘Iconic Norway,’ which presented a stunning introduction to Norway’s untouched landscapes, Northern Lights, and bountiful seafood tradition.

With excellence in heritage and a love of Nordic food, Chef Madsen introduced visiting guests to the art of Norwegian culinary excellence with remarkable experiences, combining time-honoured tradition with modern skills. Dishes like ‘Norwegian Salmon NORD,’ which paid homage to the raw innocence of salmon, and ‘Grilled Midnight Sun,’ which spoke to its adaptability and creamy texture, were featured, celebrating why Norwegian salmon is so revered globally.

Chef Madsen also held an exclusive masterclass for women, giving a hands-on workshop in handling, preparing, and presenting Norwegian salmon. This interactive session was not only a cooking workshop, where participants learned to cook various Norwegian recipes and mastered culinary techniques, but also an immersive discussion on sustainability, nutritional benefits, and the unique flavours of Norwegian seafood. Rich in omega-3 fatty acids, high-quality protein, and vital vitamins, Norwegian salmon was highlighted for its health benefits, supporting cardiovascular well-being, brain function, and overall health.

Mr. Suresh Kumar GT, Co-Founder of Norsea Global, said, “With this event, the Indian population has now experienced a new culinary journey with Norwegian salmon-another category of food which is more than just food; it is food tastefully combined with nutrition and sustainability. Chef Madsen’s creativity in modern Norwegian salmon dishes will surely inspire Indian consumers to sample and experience the high quality, versatility, and global popularity of this unique salmon.”

The conference also featured presentations by Silje Christine Andersen, First Secretary, Economic Team, Royal Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi, and Cristian Valdes Carter, Director for India, Innovation Norway & Commercial Counsellor, who shared their perspectives on the Norwegian Seafood industry and its expanding footprint in India.

Complementing the opulence, the guests also learned hospitality and business skills from Richard Thomas Orlando Bridgeman, 7th Earl of Bradford, a renowned restaurateur and former chairman of the Restaurant Association. His insights into international fine dining trends, the seafood market, and India’s evolving market added an interesting twist to the event.

One of the highlights of the night was the Women’s Culinary Excellence Award, awarded by Chef Daniel Rouge Madsen, honouring a remarkable female chef for her work in the culinary industry. This was a celebration of women’s success in gastronomy, as part of the Women’s Day Tribute.

The night ended with a ceremonial Norwegian seafood dinner, with live cooking stations, wine pairings by experts, and a chance to mingle with the industry leaders, diplomats, and foodies.

With Norwegian salmon at centre stage, the evening was a celebration of craftsmanship, culture, and cuisine par excellence, with an interplay of Norwegian innovation and Indian hospitality in a memorable experience.
