Hyderabad, India, Mar 12, 2025: Switzerland-based Tenthpin Management Consultants, a global consulting leader in technology advisory for Lifesciences companies, today announced the launch of Tenthpin AI Labs (TAIL) in Hyderabad, establishing a Global Center of Excellence dedicated to AI-driven transformation in Life Sciences.
Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary, Information Technology, Electronics & Communications (ITE&C) and Industries & Commerce, Govt of Telangana formally inaugurated the same.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ranjan said that he is happy that Tenthpin has chosen Hyderabad among many other cities in India for its expansion. The more Life Sciences action is happening in Hyderabad compared to any other global city. It is also pleasing to note that it is the Tenthpin’s, the biggest facility in the world. Hyderabad is the Life Sciences Hub and Pharma Hub. We have more than 1800 pharma manufacturing units in and around Hyderabad. For the last two and a half decades, we have also focused on vaccines. We have a dedicated industrial park, Genome Valley, India’s first organized cluster for Life Sciences R&D and Clean Manufacturing. One-third of the world’s vaccines are manufactured here. The city has a good blend of Lifestyle and Technology ecosystem. The Technology ecosystem comprises 1400 tech companies and one million working in them. The city has the best of Biology, Life Sciences, Technology, and Data Sciences. Seven out of the top 10 life sciences companies in the world have their presence in Hyderabad. The Government of Telangana is all set to launch in the next couple of weeks its new dedicated life sciences policy. It will chart a bold new growth trajectory for this sector. It will also boost the state’s prospects in new domains such as cell and gene therapy, genomics, biologics, precision medicine, peptides, digital innovation, and advanced R&D.
Cell-gene therapy (CGT), a treatment that modifies cells or genes to treat disease, is the future. It can treat rare and severe diseases like cancer and others. The new Next Gen Lifesciences Policy the government is coming out with will support these and many. The city of Hyderabad has 24 innovation spaces like T-Hub which will support the life science sector.
TAIL’s mission is to help pharmaceutical, MedTech, biotech, and research organizations distinguish between AI hype and accomplishing real value. By leveraging India’s tech talent and Hyderabad’s position as a life sciences hub, Tenthpin aims to support companies in accelerating AI adoption across the drug life cycle, from R&D to better patient outcomes.
