Mumbai, November 19th, 2024: Eco Hotels & Resorts Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of ‘Mr. Ajit Kumar Jain,’ a distinguished former IAS officer from the 1982 batch, as an ‘Independent Director’ on its Board. Mr. Jain’s extensive experience in public administration and sustainable development will bring valuable insights to the company as it continues its growth and expansion.
Throughout his career, Mr. Jain has held key leadership roles, including Principal Secretary and later Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He has also served in pivotal positions such as Collector of Kolhapur and Mumbai, State Excise Commissioner, Additional Commissioner of the BMC, and Principal Secretary of the Water and Sanitation Department. Mr. Jain played a significant role in the “Transformation of Mumbai into a World Class City” project, a major initiative supported by the World Bank and the Government of India, as well as contributing as a core member of the National Task Force on the Prime Minister’s ‘Jal Jeevan Mission.’
With a long-standing focus on sustainable development, Mr. Jain brings expertise in green technology and carbon neutrality initiatives that align with Eco Hotels & Resorts’ strategic vision.
